Complete the setup
|
|
------------------
|
|
|
|
You need to complete the setup on Haiku operating system with the below commands:
|
|
|
|
mariadb-secure-installation
|
|
|
|
Enter current password for root (enter for none):
|
|
Enable unix_socket authentication? [Y/n] n
|
|
Set root password? [Y/n] Y
|
|
New password:
|
|
Re-enter new password:
|
|
Remove anonymous users? [Y/n] n
|
|
Disallow root login remotely? [Y/n]
|
|
Remove test database and access to it? [Y/n] n
|
|
Reload privilege tables now? [Y/n] Y
|
|
|
|
|
|
First connection
|
|
----------------
|
|
|
|
mariadb -u root -p
|
|
|
|
or use a SQL client (SquirrelSQL, DBVisualizer, ...)
|
|
|
|
|
|
Server administration
|
|
---------------------
|
|
|
|
If you need to stop the server :
|
|
mariadb-admin -u root -p shutdown
|
|
|
|
If you need to start the server :
|
|
mariadbd --user=user --datadir=/var/mysql
|
|
|
|
|
|
Uninstall
|
|
---------
|
|
|
|
Uninstallation of the package doesn't suppress the folder with the databases.
|
|
|
|
If you need to clean-up the databases then type :
|
|
|
|
rm -rf /var/mysql
|
|
|
|
