The TeleVideo PM4 was one of the first dedicated fileservers. It could serve up to 4 IBM (compatible) Pc''s.\
As a server running infoshare (indeed the earliest version of Novell) is could handle record and file locking.
I know because, as technical support manager at that time, I introduced this system in Middle and Northern Europe.
have a nice day

text: Came across this site- great. Sold over $10MM of Televideo-INFOSHARE (aka NOVELL) in Canada- few believe me when I tell them that infoshare 1.0 was the original NOVELL! Also sold 1,000 ALTOS Xenix/Unix CPU's a few years later- another great system!(from Dave Jackson-ex Dec) good luck! Stu

The Mini PM/4T was the multi-user version of the Televideo PC compatible. A video terminal was used for interfacing directly to the system.
The InfoShare Operating System can run many multi-user programs or execute most single-user MS-DOS programs.
The PM/4T can be linked to up to four computers (PCs or Televideo's PM Workstation \[a terminal\]).
It was sold for $6000, and a 16-user version was available at $9000.\
A $99 card was required to connect each PC to the system.
**Igor Pronin** reports :\
I was one of the first users in Finland. Infoshare Operating System was actually Novell Netware. In the begining it was version 1 or 1.1 but it was soon upgraded to 1.2. As a server running programs off the server, it was faster than from a local hard disk of a 12 MHz AT.
