text: I "think" I just bought one of these clones, but still trying to understand exactly what it is. It looks similar to the Lazar II clone, but the power supply and motherboard are original Apple ones, so I guess somebody changed the case.

text: I had an "Aprocot" back in the mid 80s. The motherboard was in a box with a separate keyboard.

The most famous/infamous clone was the WOMBAT, trade name of a Taiwanese system sold in Australia. I think it was made by Bondwell, better known for CP/M systems.\
Apple sued the distributor for patent/copyright infringement, winning the case and then going on to close down all the other clones.

I bought an MPF II (Microprofessor II) that had 64 K RAM, 16 K ROM and used external cassette player for storage. It had RF output so I could use the TV as monitor.\
It was pretty small, smaller than todays iPad but twice the thickness. It had a small keyboard on it but the external keyboard with rubber keys was a must.\
It also had Joystick of course and with it came a couple of games that were fun to play with friends on the TV.\
The O/S was the same as on Apple II and it had of course a 6502 CPU @ 1MHz.\
Cool little box. Regret selling it.

text: I do remember one of them, that I almost bought. It was for sale in France for around 6.500 FF (1000€) in 1983, and it was called "GOLEM". It case was almost identical to the Apple II, except for the grey color.
