The timeline entry [Commodore introduces the PET](/history/commodore-introduces-the-pet/) is back. With the Apple II and the TRS-80, the PET was one of the three ready-to-use machines that reached the public in 1977.

The history section also has a comparison of the [PET and the Sharp MZ-80K](/history/commodore-pet-vs-sharp-mz-80k/), two machines built on a very similar idea.
