They were GREAT products for their time. I miss them. The word processing programs of today do not hold a candle to the ease of use those word processors had. - author: Terry Corbett (Canada) date: Wednesday 8th April 2020 text: I was trained by Sony Canada on these beasts. The floppies were a major problem and the screens would constantly lose focus. Our dealership $ped them after three months as they were costing a fortune to maintain. - author: Zzmac (usa) date: Tuesday 15th October 2019 text: Hey vip_tech (USA) and LBlack8978 (USA) do you still any of the Sony Model 35 stuff you might want to sell? - author: Zzmac (USA) date: Tuesday 15th October 2019 text: Hey vip_tech (USA) do you still any of the Sony Model 35 stuff you might want to sell? - author: vip_tech (USA) date: Friday 4th October 2019 text: I worked for a Sony Business dealer and repaired these as well as the larger Model 35''s and printers, which were actually NEC printers. They used a modified CPM language. The displays were beautiful black type on a white background. Looked like a sheet of paper. The main problems I remember were the floppy drives constantly broke. - author: LBlack8978 (USA) date: Wednesday 17th October 2018 text: They use 3.5 discs. I used this processor for work, I loved it. I still have a lot of the discs. - author: Bruce Felger (us) date: Thursday 21st September 2017 text: what format does this machine use for it''s data files? - author: LBlack8978 (USA) date: Monday 10th June 2013 text: I have one to sell but can''t figure out how to post it on the forum page, can anybody help? - author: fpgasteve (australia) date: Friday 15th April 2011 text: .. I have the service manual to this model somewhere. They were very cute - nicely built too. Be good to get one again to check out. - author: Mnem (Canada) date: Friday 16th December 2005 text: I actually have one of these as well. Can't remember for the life of me what scrapheap I obtained it from though. No keyboard or disk for it though so I've never actually used it. It does boot to the 'insert disc' screen though so it works as far as I'm aware. Mine has a colour screen though, so I'm not sure if it's a slightly different model or not. I was actually thinking about pulling this thing apart and putting a mini-itx board into it at some point as a little project to make a nice small computer for the kitchen. :) - author: okmac (Oklahoma) date: Wednesday 19th January 2005 text: I have two of these Sony Series 35 Model 10 in my garage. One, without a keyboard and the other with. I have no wordprocessor disk. I have kept them around because they look like Macintoshes. oc_id: 213 source: url: https://web.archive.org/web/20230204143448/http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=213 date: '2023-02-04' --- This computer is a Wordprocessor system which looks like an [Apple Macintosh](/museum/apple-macintosh/) (but is not a Macintosh compatible). It can work with CP/M. Though it was designed as a word processing computer, it has no mouse (go figure !). It has a graphical user interface and has special keys to use with the word processor (cut/paste, move line/word etc.).
