text: Once I was the user of Agat 9D computer and I can tell you what origin of such machines is Bulgaria .The only known manufacturer (Edinie Sistemi in russian) United Systems in ex-USSR produced so-called United Systems series EC computers . The manufacturing plant was in Belorussia , Minsk city. I don't know much about LEMZ company , known to you as it's manufacturer , but I'm strongly believe what manufacturer was the IZOT company , which was also well-known in Russia as disk drives manufacturer.

The Agat-9, produced after the [Agat](/museum/lemz-agat/), was a fully compatible Apple II+ system with real expansion possibilities (6 non-apple compatible slots).

It was then possible to add memory expansion cards, serial cards, additional disk-drives and even network cards.

In fact the Agat-9 was also compatible with the more exotic Pravetz-8 and Tzyntzy computers, which were also Apple II clones.
