Untested they go for about $10, working with spacewar intercept go for around $20, that''''s including the box. They pop up every now and again in garage sales.' - author: rabih (australia) date: Saturday 20th November 2010 text: |- hi\ can anyone tell me what my victory Soundic Victory MPT-02 system complete with sapcewar intercept is worth,\ i havent actually tested it yet - author: Laurie (Melbourne, Australia) date: Tuesday 13rd April 2010 text: |- We got this back in 1978 too, and we thought it was the best thing ever! On a trip to Singapore a year later we managed to buy most of the cartridges (e.g. Baseball, Speedway/Tag, Pinball, etc.). We played the 4 built in games over and over again - especially the Bowling, and loved making patterns and doodles with ''Patterns'' and ''Doodle''! I remember being able to get simple colour screens too? My friend at the time had the same machine but it wasn''t a ''Victory'' it was a ''Sheen''. Anyway we sold it in the early 80s (and ''upgraded'' to a Dick Smith Wizzard which I still have), but I recently managed to buy one again, which still works well (but with only a few cartridges - wish I had kept my original ones). - author: Mark (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) date: Monday 19th March 2007 text: |- WoW!\ when dad bought one of these in 1978 we thought we were in heaven! Pretty blue screen on some games!!.Those joysticks were paethietic though!!!...I recall playing 'blackjack' for hours....that was the best game on there!!!\ And it was actually programable, to an extent;..you could get it to draw some incredible, albeit uncontrollable, graphics!!\ Mark. related: - /museum/mustang-9016-telespiel-computer - /museum/rca-studio-ii - /museum/toshiba-visicom-100 software: - /software/baseball-608 - /software/concentration-match - /software/gunfighter-moonship-battle - /software/pinball - /software/spacewar-intercept oc_id: 1221 source: url: https://web.archive.org/web/20230607055107/http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=1221 date: '2023-06-07' --- The Soundic Victory MPT-02 is a clone of one of the first home videogame systems, the [RCA Studio II](/museum/rca-studio-ii/) (see this entry for more info). In opposition to the Studio II, the Victory MPT-02 has detachable controllers. Those controllers are composed of 10 buttons labeled from 0 to 9. More surprising, the Victory MPT-02 is the only Studio II clone system to offer alternative joysticks: real ones, with a stick and a fire button... more practical for action games. It is interesting to notice that MPT-02 systems are [Studio RCA 2](/museum/rca-studio-ii/) software-compatible, MPT-03 are [Emerson Arcadia 2001](/museum/emerson-arcadia-2001/) software-compatible and MPT-04/05 systems are [Interton VC-4000](/museum/interton-vc-4000/) software-compatible systems... It is not clear yet who is at the origin of the MPT systems (help welcome), but it might be well Soundic.
