However, some electric goods manufacturer from Argentina got to sell some "2nd Generation" clones (clones of clones) under the Czerweny brand: CZ1000 standing for the TimexSinclair 1000, and so on. CZ2000 was a ZX Spectrum clone.' - author: Marthins (Lord Fenix) (brazil) date: Sunday 22nd April 2012 text: |- TK83 Width: 167 mm\ Depth: 175 mm\ Height: 40 mm\ Weight: 350 g - author: Tigh (Brazil) date: Monday 16th January 2012 text: |- Microdigital was a Brazillian manufacturer. Had a subsidiary in Argentina but all plants were located in Brazil (2 in São Paulo and 1 Manaus).\ TK83 was manufactured on one of that plants and exported to Argentina just relabeled to be marketed as a national product. - author: Webmaster (France) date: Monday 5th September 2011 text: Good question. That is weird because Microdigital is really from Brazil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microdigital_Eletronica). Maybe the factory was in Argentina ? - author: Dragontamer (Spain) date: Monday 1st August 2011 text: Sorry, but if the label on the computer says ''made in Argentina'', why is credited to Brazil? oc_id: 1019 source: url: https://web.archive.org/web/20230328121623/http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=1019 date: '2023-03-28' --- The TK83 followed the [TK82](/museum/microdigital-tk-82/). It was a close copy of the [ZX81](/museum/sinclair-zx-81/) but offered some enhanced features: 2 KB of RAM expandable up to 64 KB, and a joystick interface. The tape speed could be either 300 or 4200 baud per second. The machine shipped with a beige or silver case, the same size as the ZX-81's. Thanks to **Franco Girardi** for the picture.
