"Compaq Deskpro. The heartless computer"

This is a reference to the famous TV serie of the time: Dallas. The french song sang : "Dallas, your heartless universe...". Compaq tried to take advantage of the winning America image given by the serie.

Bottom of page reads : "Compaq. The computer which thrills America"
