Thierry is at the origin of www.old-computers.com. He was a pionneer when he built www.computingmuseum.com in 1995 which set the basis of what should be a virtual computing museum. Five years later he met Olivier and they merged their sites to become www.old-computers.com. Thierry programmed all the site in a few weeks...
As a programming master, Thierry can program anything, in any language, from a Sharp MZ700 to a washing machine... But he is a very busy man and it's often quite difficult to put a hand on him. He is also legendary unlucky. He even saw one day a meteor crashing into his car...
Olivier is also at the origin of www.old-computers.com. His first website was called "8-Bit Rendez-Vous". He soon felt that a collective work would do better. Sadly at that time, only a few collectors were ready to merge efforts and websites. Hopefully he met Thierry who had the same ideas. They merged their sites and the rest is... history.
Olivier is particularly in charge of the design of www.old-computers.com, but is also one of the main content providers along with Sylvain. He is concerned as much by computers, pongs and consoles, though he is an expert of obscure videogame systems.
Sylvain certainly IS a personality. After having lived many different and interesting professional experiences, he chose to join the www.old-computers.com team in 2001. Since then he has proven to be the more efficient and productive member of the team.
Sylvain is now in charge of all the computers section, plus many other duties, and that means a lot of work, believe me.
Sylvain is also one of the biggest (if not the biggest) french collector with more than 600 systems spread between its garage and other storing locations.
