| Doom |

The Jaguar port of Doom is pretty close to the PC version looks wise, but there are a number of important differences.
While most of the levels are present a number of them have been modified or remade, most commonly by making the levels flatter with less variation in floor height. The Cyberdemon and Spider Mastermind have been completely removed, along with the in game music. Most of the music is still present, but it now only plays between levels.
A welcome addition is the auto save function, which allows you to start playing from any previously completed level.
While the game looks pretty similar to the PC original and has the same frantic gameplay, something just doesn't feel right. Whether it's the controls, the redesigned levels or something else, the Jaguar version seems to be missing that special something the PC version has. This is still a great game though, and easily one of the Jaguar's best ports.
