Obviously PorkyR never took the time at School to learn French or is arrogant of his own language. This is why they teach you this kind of stuff in grade school. And also to stay on topic of the computer I find the casing of the FM Towns II very interesting and I really like it. Possibly my favourite design for a computer of this time. author date text Matthew Tuesday 13rd March 2012 Sentinelle_Divine (FRANCE) J''utilise un traducteur en ligne. I do not think that comment was called for, in any way, and would be classified as xenophobia in the least. Please do refrain from making such comments again, and if you can, try to learn another language yourself. And, I''d like to point out, you insulted them in English, when they speak french, which may also be a further extent of your xenophobia, hiding behind a shield of language and all. author date text porkyR Thursday 29th December 2011 to Sentinelle_Divine - too stupid for English? author date text Sentinelle_Divine (FRANCE) Thursday 8th September 2005 bonjour\ je recherche cette machine ainsie que des logiciel pouvant tourner dessus\ comme c'est une machine un peu particuliere j'aimerais savoir si quelqun peut me dire sous quel systeme d'exploitation etait gerer cette machine merci /museum/fujitsu-fm-towns /museum/fujitsu-fm-towns-ii-ex 384 url date https://web.archive.org/web/20230505073348/http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=384 2023-05-05

The FM Towns II is a follow up to the FM Towns (read this entry for more info).

The FM Towns II could read CD audio. 5 LED displayed the sound volume and two buttons was used to change volume.

Graphics video features were very powerful:
- One could display up to 800 sprite (16x16) on one video frame, - Zoom and screen rotation were hardware features. Display could be rotated to any angle using one single command.
- Texts, Sprites and Graphics used three different RAM areas. They could be easily displayed simultaneously.

We need more info about this computer ! If you designed, used, or have more info about this system, please send us pictures or anything you might find useful.
