| DEMONSTRATION UNIT |
|
This is a demonstration unit used in some stores selling the NES. It operates like a jukebox. Up to twelve cartridges can be inserted into the unit. Then, the game is selected by a "Game Select" button. At the rear of the system, a knob is used to select accorded playing time: 30 seconds, 3 minutes, 6 minutes or ... 120 minutes! |

Jnes is a NES emulator for win32 platforms that uses DirectX for it's hardware interface. It's emulation capabilities include graphics, sound, input devices, and emulating quite a few memory mapping boards found in most USA games and a few popular japanese ones. |

Since it wouldn''t let me add some info on the emulator page, I would like to point out an emulator not listed on this site. It is called NESTOPIA and it lives up to its name. Probably the most compatible NES Emulator for windows and certainly the most accurate in timing.

the famicom had the longest production life of any console ever to this day\
from 1983 to 2004 in japan\

I've played the system since 5 years old. I have 2 of the systems and one of the newer top loader systems (which is very rare BTW) I've gotten them all for free over the years.
I also have an SNES but have never played it. |
