It''s pretty much on par with most other 8-bit computers of the time: the character set could be changed to create free-form images of full 256x192 resolution (with some limitations). author date text Michael (United States) Sunday 22nd December 2002 For the most in-depth information available, visit; http://home.kc.rr.com/vintagecomputers/index.html /museum/panasonic-jr-200u 324 url date https://web.archive.org/web/20230606191229/http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=324 2023-06-06

It is the successor of the JR 100.

The JR-200 had good features compared to its japanese competitors : 8 colors, 2400 bauds tape speed and 3 voices synthesizer.

But sadly there were no real graphic resolution, only a combination of semi-graphic characters.

The Panasonic JR-200U is the same computer but aimed at the american and european market. Read its page for more information, and a complete history text.
