| MICRODISC |
3'' disk-drive (400k) |
3" Double-sided disk drive with a capacity of 400k\
Could load 20k in 1 seconde, which was quite fast at that time.
The name of the operating system was Stratsed and was somehow compatible with the Sedoric (Atmos OS)
The disk controller was built-in the Telestrat, thus only "slave" disk drives had to be bought (1800fr each in 86). |

This is a nice site with great work! As an longtime Oric-User and being in the know of some details I have to correct the Name of the DOS used by the Oric Telestrat Computer. It is not named StradSED but SEDOric and was available for the old Orics as an addon as well. Furheron, the Telestrat was identical to the Atmos in ROM (V1.1). I could state this since I played with it at Frankfurt Home Comuter Fair in 1985 and its got the same HIRES command bug as Oric-1 and Atmos inside. One of the developers was not amused as he saw me discovering this bug:) |
