Maldoror Monday 22nd April 2013 As far as I know, Microdigital manufactured the TK line in Brazil. However, some electric goods manufacturer from Argentina got to sell some "2nd Generation" clones (clones of clones) under the Czerweny brand: CZ1000 standing for the TimexSinclair 1000, and so on. CZ2000 was a ZX Spectrum clone.

Tigh (Brazil) Monday 16th January 2012 Microdigital was a Brazillian manufacturer. Had a subsidiary in Argentina but all plants were located in Brazil (2 in São Paulo and 1 Manaus).\ TK83 was manufactured on one of that plants and exported to Argentina just relabeled to be marketed as a national product.

Webmaster (France) Monday 5th September 2011 Good question. That is weird because Microdigital is really from Brazil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microdigital_Eletronica). Maybe the factory was in Argentina ?

Dragontamer (Spain) Monday 1st August 2011 Sorry, but if the label on the computer says ''made in Argentina'', why is credited to Brazil?

The TK83 followed the TK82. It was a close copy of the ZX81 but offered some enhanced features: 2 KB of RAM expandable up to 64 KB, and a joystick interface.

The tape speed could be either 300 or 4200 baud per second. The machine shipped with a beige or silver case, the same size as the ZX-81's.

Thanks to Franco Girardi for the picture.
